The Green Carnation Prize

The Green Carnation Prize was established in July 2010 to celebrate LGBT writers. The prize is named after the green carnation historically sometimes worn as an emblem of homosexuality and is a tribute to Oscar Wilde who often carried one on his lapel.

The longlist was announced on 24th March 2017 and the shortlist 28th April 2017.
