New books out in August

August is supposed to be a quiet month in publishing, but looking at this selection of new books out it certainly doesn't seem to be the case. Yesterday by Felicia Yap is one of this year's most anticipated thrillers, a truly exhilarating debut. My Absolute Darling has been receiving rave reviews, not least from Stephen King who describes it as a masterpiece. And also of note this month is A Change is Gonna Come - an anthology of stories and poetry from the UK's most exciting BAME writers including Nikesh Shukla, Tanya Byrne, Musa Okwonga and Catherine Johnson.

I hope you enjoy the books I've chosen and happy reading.
